Your Harlow celebrates eighth birthday

General / Thu 1st Jul 2021 at 09:01am

YOUR HARLOW is eight years old today.

We would just like to say a big thank you to all our readers, viewers, commentators and followers.

Thank you to all our advertisers and sponsors for backing us.

Back in early 2013, YourHarlow was one of five winners of a competition run by the Carnegie Trust called Neighbourhood News.

They asked us if we felt we could add to the news in our area. 22,339 stories later, we think we have answered that question.

We began the century with three printed newspapers in the town (Harlow Citizen, Harlow Herald and Harlow Star). Now there is (effectively) just us.

We call our relationship with the readers “one journalist in partnership with 85,000 people”.

Since July 1st, 2013, we have had over 14 million page views. In the last six months, we have had over 2.5 million.

Don’t forget you can find us here as well as https://www.facebook.com/yourharlow and https://twitter.com/yourharlow and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjQalzVY3mlsALmAaExPFVg

Right, time to write story number 22,340.

Thank you again

Happy birthday your Harlow you are a well set out newspaper making it easy for commentators like myself to express urgent and important information relating to your stories what really concerns me is some commentators using the first name and not there whole name what's wrong can't people pick there battles wisely and take responsibility for there words deeds and actions happy birthday your Harlow and thank you to the editor god bless you

CONGRATULATIONS! News in 'yourHarlow' was most welcome during the Pandemic and still remains important through the sad absence of the local free newspapers. Many thanks to Michael and further good Luck!
