New trial date set for Harlow gym owner accused of breaching Covid rules

A NEW trial date has been set for a Harlow gym owner accused of breaching Coronavirus restrictions.

Michelle Meade-Wyatt, aged 46, of Faraway House, High Hills, Liverpool has been charged with the following.

On November 5th, 2020 at Harlow being the owner of premises at Ripped Gym, Wych Elm, Harlow those premises being subject to a direction, namely to close , which had been issued under paragraph 6 of Part 2 of Schedule 22 to the Coronavirus Act 2020 during a public health response period, failed without reasonable excuse to comply with a requirement in the direction, in that providing details to issue a fixed penalty notice.

According to the court documents, Meade-Wyatt made an “honest mistake” and confused the date of her trial.

She has been remanded on unconditional bail until November 23rd, 2021 at Colchester magistrates court.
