Harlow man pleads guilty to drug driving and possession of nitrous oxide

A HARLOW man has pleaded guilty to drug driving and a number of other offences.

Lee Oliver, aged 36, of Canons Gate, Harlow pled to the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.

On May 30th, 2025 at Epping, drove a Volvo motor vehicle, on Coopers Common, Epping, whilst unfit to drive through drugs.

On May 30th, 2025 at Epping, had in your possession a quantity of nitrous oxide, a controlled drug of Class C in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, with the intention of wrongfully inhaling it.

On May 30th, 2025 at Epping, being a person driving a vehicle, Volvo, neglected or refused to stop the vehicle when directed to do so by a constable acting in the execution of his duty and for the time being engaged in the regulation of traffic in a road, namely Epping Road, Epping.

Sentence

Oliver was disqualified for two years. He was fined £200.00

Forfeiture and destruction – Property to be forfeited and destroyed: nitrous oxide.

Should have forfeited the car as well.
