Rain doesn’t dampen spirits at Potter Street Community Fete

Entertainment / Mon 23rd Aug 2021 at 09:43am

HUNDREDS defied the weather to attend the Potter Street Community Fete on Saturday afternoon.

The fete was like a step back in time and yet it augurs well for the future of Potter Street with such a community-minded event.

There was mix between traditional stalls (coconut shy, card readings, a sack race) as well as Slimming World, Don’t Feed Our Horses.

Much praise must go to the tireless David Taylor and his team for all the work they undertook to get the fete on.

Thank you to everyone who supported us at the Potter St Community Charity Fun Day, also prior to the day behind the scenes at the Council ,Sarah Swan. It’s been a lot of hard work and several bumps along the way but we made it. So great to see everyone enjoying themselves. We will update with amount raised for local Charities. St. Claire’s Hospise, Streets 2 Homes, Harlow Mind and St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Loved the fete. My nan Ivy from Chapel fields used to take me when I was little. Our whole family would go. This time I got to be there with my own grandchildren! Thank you for bringing it back. ( I'm the one in the green dress 😁)
