MEMBERS of Start Hill based disability charity Accuro (Care Services) have been enjoying a range of activities this Summer as part of Accuro’s Holiday Scheme.
Accuro’s Holiday Scheme caters for children and young people aged 8-19 with disabilities, providing fun, safe and inclusive activities throughout the School Holidays. These services provide valuable opportunities for members to socialise, make friends, build confidence and independence, try new things and develop life skills.
Holiday Scheme Coordinator Rhiannon Blake said, “Following more than a year of on and off clubs and a summer of virtual sessions in 2020, it’s been wonderful to be able to run our Holiday Scheme as usual this year. Our members, staff and volunteers have had an amazing time taking part in a wide range of activities from beach trips to boating!”
The Accuro Team have accompanied members on several trips and activities across West Essex this summer including the Multi Tap Gaming Hub in Loughton, bowling in Saffron Walden and Harlow, Jump Evolution in Romford, Canalability in Harlow, Clacton Beach, Harlow Outdoors, Horse Riding at Radwinter Stables and more!
Rhiannon added, “We like to keep our activities as varied as possible so that there’s plenty to choose from and opportunities that suit the varying need and interests of our members.”
The Holiday Scheme will round off with a Summer Party, a way for members to come together again before the new term and have fun sending off a fantastic Summer 2021.
Accuro provide clubs and services for Children, Young People and Adults with a disability across West Essex, operating in Harlow, Uttlesford and Epping. To learn more about Accuro and their services, please visit www.accuro.org.uk
