Beer shortages at Wetherspoons after Brexit and Covid hit supply chains

SOME drinkers will be disappointed if they head to Wetherspoons this week, as the pub chain is facing shortages of some beer brands reports the Metro.
Pints of Carling and Coors are unavailable in some branches, with the problem due to a lack of lorry drivers.
Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: ‘We are experiencing some supply problems with both Carling and Coors, which means that some pubs do not have the products available.
‘We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused.
‘We know that the brewers are trying to resolve the issue.’
You couldn't make it up! UKIP have since fallen silent after deceiving voters during the Vote Leave campaign. Racism, xenophobia and narrow mindlessness will not steal the spotlight this time. Harlow is a town where we share more in common and whose sense of community will not be divided by the island mentality of a small minority.
Jake you are absolutely right, and in regards to UKIP even I supported them once but realistically they are mindless and delusional, now I realise they are a failed party and of out of date with reality and the ideas they tryed to broadcast are not applicable in 2021, Harlow is a great town full of a range of different people and I have been much happier since I also opened up to the many types of people and we should band together as a county to make it the best instead of taking everything out of proportion. The beer is an issue, I love a pint, but brexit is a complete mess.
Maybe Tim Martin can replace the missing beer with bendy bananas that we are now allowed to eat thanks to The Glorious Brexit? Each bottle of Bendy Banana Beer will have a label make of a blue rectangle and a circle of bananas. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/wetherspoons-brexit-bars-eu-migration-b1858035.html
You must be living in a fantasyland if you think this town does anything but xenophobic, racist and homophobic. For the last 30 years I’ve lived in this town of experience nothing but hatred and anger and any time there is a mention of immigration of foreigners being let into the town everybody is up in arms constantly. One major example of this is the recent Afghanistan crisis in which two houses were offered to rehouse two families from Afghanistan and the comment sections on this article is absolutely disgusting. Despite the fact that Harlow Council found two properties from the private sector majority of people commenting from Harlow seems to be very upset often citing that they needed homes first or that their children were struggling. And it seems to me that the most of Harlow is very narrowminded and very offset by simple things often stating that they’re open to new ideas while maintaining the status quo of being racist and closed off to the rest of the world and not being able to see things from a different perspective other than their own. This town is absolutely nothing I would consider to be anything other than a hellhole. The articles that you constantly see written on Essex live where they’re constantly trying to both that Harlow is not a bad place to live just shows exactly how bad the town actually is.
This has very little to do with Brexit and more to do with the Pandemic resulting in HGV tests being suspended in this country creating a temporary shortfall in drivers coinciding with slavs returning to their home countries. The EU is also still smarting at the UK having the temerity to leave and so is playing silly buggers. Non-EU countries such as Norway and Switzerland are bordered by EU countries but have no problems receiving deliveries from EU member countries.
Lol that you think it has nothing to do with Brexit. Keep living life in that little ignorant bubble. Nigel Farage will save you.
What will Nigel Farage save me from? The unelected, unaudited, sclerotic EU? I'll keep living as a free man in a sovereign country that is establishing trade deals around the world at our want. You can keep living in your cowardly bubble of boot lickers too frightened to ever think there is a whole wide, more profitable world outside the whining EU.
Jake. This is typically from a left wing Labour supporter. The biggest racist are those who are linked the the left parties especially the Labour psrty and I witnessed this with my own eyes whilst out canvassing between 2013 and 2019.
Anyway, Jake, what the hell has a matter regarding the weatherspoons got to do with racism and Xenophobia? I have good friends who drink in the weatherspoons who come from all different ethnic backgrounds.
