THE HARLOW Wombles have been given a cash boost after winning funds at Harlow Soup.

Harlow Soup basically works like this: Four organisations make representations as to why they would like a little bit of funding.

They do this in first of an assembled group who have paid a few pounds to attend and whilst they do so, have some soup.

Pre-Pandemic the events were held at Pemberley Academy. During lockdown they were held on-line.

Last week, Harlow Soup was held in the wonderful grounds of Herts and Essex Community Farm.

A spokesperson for Harlow Soup said: “Thank you to everyone who attended the latest Harlow Soup!

We mixed it up this time with the venue being Herts & Essex Community Farm and a BBQ special instead of soup,

“We were blessed with sun on the day too.

Four fantastic community projects pitched to secure our attendees votes to be awarded soup funding and the project with the most votes was….HARLOW WOMBLES.

They have been awarded an incredible £643.00!!

‘Soup funds will make an incredible difference to this brilliant community project and we look forward to seeing shiny new litter pickers around the town soon.

“Attendees enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch and were entertained with live music.

“In total Harlow Soup has now raised £8,026.43”.
