St Mary’s Church to host ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’

ST Mary’s Church is set to host ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ at their church on Peldon Road, CM19 4HT on Friday 24th September (10:30am – 1pm) – raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Everyone is welcome at St. Mary’s to enjoy a range of cakes, refreshments, and the chance to chat to one another.
They want to raise as much money as possible to support Macmillan Cancer Support – an incredibly worthwhile cause. From the Macmillan Cancer Support website (https://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/):
A spokesperson for MacMilan said: “Macmillan understand how cancer can affect people’s whole lives – health, money, family, job; everything. And, after more than 100 years of caring, they understand that the most important thing is to treat people as individuals, not patients.
So, Macmillan take the time to understand the support people need to live their lives as fully as they can. From the moment of diagnosis and whenever we’re most needed, we’re here to help people find their best way through. Our help is totally focused on each individual person, so everyone receives the support that’s best for them.
People all over the UK host their own Coffee Morning and donations raised on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2020, we raised over £10 million and hope to top that this year.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to St. Mary’s on Friday 24th September. Please contact Ray Curtis on 01279 418 699 for further details.
