Another day of queues for petrol across Harlow
News / Wed 29th Sep 2021 at 10:21am
THE queues for petrol have continued all across Harlow on Wednesday morning.
YH took a drive around town between 10 am and 1130 am.
Petrol Stations
BP Hastingwood: Only open for HGV. Queues caused by drivers hoping a delivery would be coming.
Shell Hastingwood: No fuel.
Tesco Church Langley: Open. Long queues tailing back to A414 but moving slowly.
Tesco Edinburgh Way: No fuel but long queues nevertheless.
BP Edinburgh Way: Closed for fuel
Sainsburys: Closed
Esso Kitson Way: Closed for fuel
Esso Edinburgh Way: Closed for fuel
BP Southern Way: Closed for fuel
Esso Bush Fair: Closed for fuel
Saw a small queue at Bush Fair so joined it yesterday about 1820, 10 minutes later arrived at the entrance to see a traffic cone with no petrol on it, Why they could not put it a couple of hundreds yards back and save people the hassle, I guess the tills were ringing so they could not give a monkeys
Maybe stupid question, when you say no petrol, they have diesel? I wonder What's next! I did hear its gonna be milk
So when the idiots in govt say the situation is easing, where exactly is it easing as nearly every petrol station I have seen today is closed as no fuel and I’ve had to travel to Watford from Harlow and the situation is the same here NO FUEL AND CLOSED PETROL STATIONS! When are they going to do something to correct the demand. I’m an ED nurse and worried I won’t be able to get fuel to get to work!!!!
Supermarkets should set up 10 min click and collect slots for fuel. Arrive no more then 10 mins before, wait in designated area, move to forecourt when previous batch gone. Guaranteed slot, no excessive waiting, no excessive queueing. Access to shop for shoppers sorted! As someone who works as a Tier 2 responder no access to fuel is an issue. Is a petrol watch group viable? Guessing it may cause 'rush' on a garage if tanker spotted though.
Mark, Yes they only had diesel.
Took 45 minute to get into M11 when it normally takes 10. Bad enough I’m running low on petrol, now I got to waste more sitting in unnecessary traffic!
Welcome to Idiotsville. A town where common sense is lacking by many.
I qued up at 11.30 this morning at CL for petrol and waited 35 minutes after joining the q at the big roundabout.. no issues or problems all well organised by Tesco.
the lack of fuel has all been caused by the many idiots panic buying from last friday, everything was calm before the media decided it was a good idea to say fuel had to be rationed, i filled up two days ago from bp hastingwood gonna last me until next monday i reckon
why Did our prime minister announce the situation was easing ? wishful htinking and not true
