Nobody sleeping rough in Harlow (even just for one day)

Charity / Thu 7th Oct 2021 at 03:12pm

A HARLOW homeless charity has reported that there was no-one sleeping rough in Harlow on Tuesday night.

A spokesperson said: “As far as we are aware, for the first time ever we can say there is no one sleeping rough in Harlow tonight (Tuesday).

“That’s not saying many are not homeless but are able to find a friend or family member to put them up for the night (but maybe not tomorrow night).

If you know of, or suspect anyone is sleeping rough please report via https://www.streetlink.org.uk/

Or contact us direct at [email protected]

Or call 01279 430011

No one should have to sleep on the streets.

Brilliant and vital work. One would hope that the Council and government could ensure that funds are available to support your work and, to provide the support services and homes for people who face the prospect of being homeless and those that find themselves unavoidably rough sleeping. Unfortunately the way the uk is going it's highly likely last night will be a unique event and that the numbers of homeless, rough sleepers and sofa surfers will rise.
