Councillor Russell Perrin is new leader of Harlow Council

News / Tue 12th Oct 2021 at 02:31pm

THE Harlow Conservatives have selected Cllr Russell Perrin as their new leader to drive forward the Council’s agenda to level up opportunity and build back better.

Commenting on the announcement, Cllr Russell Perrin said: “It is a true honour to lead the Harlow Conservatives and shortly the Council too. We were elected in May with a clear mandate to deliver our agenda of building back better and that is what my team and I will focus relentlessly on doing.

“I do not underestimate the task at hand. We have an enormous job of securing the town’s recovery, cutting Council Tax, regenerating our town, restoring pride in our estates and levelling up opportunity and prosperity for everyone.

“I would like to pay tribute to Cllr Andrew Johnson who led the Conservative group for 23 years through some very difficult times.

“It’s time to get on with the job and deliver for everyone in Harlow.”

First job in the list should be getting that Terminus monster shut down and reset back to being an office space. Lord knows whoever thought of making that into an apartment block was off their rocker that day.

How naive karla !! You have no idea of the socially responsible work that happens in caridon properties take a look at the other blocks that aren’t adequately managed . What would be your solution to house the 400 some very vulnerable people that have been placed there by irresponsible labour run councils !!
