Entertainment / Tue 19th Oct 2021 at 01:14pm

HARLOW Brass Band will be holding their Christmas concert at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in the Stow. It will take place on Saturday 4th December at 2 o’clock and will include carols (with audience participation!), festive tunes and other popular items.

Tickets are available for £6 (free for under 16s) on the door. They can be reserved by contacting the band by email: [email protected].

Sadly, this will be the band’s last Christmas concert under the baton of their current musical director, Stuart Quinlan as he will be parting company with the band in the new year. The band are seeking a new musical director. Anyone interested in applying for this position can contact the band via the email address above.

The band would also like to hear from any potential new members, especially trombonists and bass and cornet players. They practise every Thursday evening from 8 o’clock to 10 o’clock at St Andrew’s Methodist Church in the Stow.

There will be another chance to see Harlow Brass at the Royal British Legion Remembrance Day concert and service at Harlow Playhouse on the evening of the 14th November. Tickets are available from the Playhouse.

You can find out more about the band via their website, harlowbrassband.co.uk.
