Education / Fri 22nd Oct 2021 at 11:40am

FOLLOWING a very successful inaugural competition last year, Harlow’s MP, Robert Halfon, has launched his second Christmas Card Competition for all primary aged children in Harlow, Hastingwood, Matching, Nazeing, Roydon and Sheering.

The winning entry will be used for the front cover of Mr Halfon’s Christmas card this year.

The requirements are as follows:

  • The design must be Christmas themed and needs to include Santa and a ladder. Mr Halfon often talks about the ladder of opportunity in Parliament and wants to reflect the ladder in his Christmas card. e.g. Santa climbing a ladder
  • The design must be on A4 and fill the page
  • Only pens, pencils, crayons and paint can be used to create the design
  • The design must be accompanied by the pupil’s name, age and school
  • Each pupil can submit one entry into the competition
  • The deadline for entries is the Wednesday 10th November

Entries can either be scanned or clearly photographed and emailed to [email protected].

Commenting on the launch, Mr Halfon said: “Last year I received hundreds of amazing Christmas card designs and deciding a winning entry was a truly impossible task.

“I hope that even more primary aged children in Harlow and the villages will have the chance to enter this year’s competition and I look forward to seeing the wonderful designs for the cover of my card.”
