Arrest for GBH made after man left with head injury following attack near The Stow

Update: Statement from Essex Police

We are investigating an assault which took place at the junction of Howard Way and First Avenue, Harlow, shortly before 7.45pm on Tuesday 9 November.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s, sustained a head injury which was neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

A 24-year-old man from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

He has been released without charge and our enquiries continue.

2100 hrs: Tuesday November 9th

POLICE have cordoned off an area of footpath near The Stow in Harlow.

The footpath is on First Avenue, just opposite Aldi supermarket.

Forensic officers were on the scene and two officers are guarding the location.

YH has contacted Essex Police press tram for more information.
