OFFICERS investigating the murder of a man in Harlow last night say they believe it was a targeted attack.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in The Hides at around 5.40pm yesterday (Monday 8 November).
A man in his 20s was found injured at the property and, sadly, was pronounced dead at the scene.
They need to speak to anyone in the area between 3pm and 6.30pm or has any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of that time frame.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Ant Alcock said: “Our investigation has already made good progress and we are building a picture of the circumstances which led to this tragic incident.
“At this stage we believe this was a targeted attack and there’s no wider risk to the public from what has happened.
“I need anyone who was in the area between 3pm and 6.30pm yesterday to contact us.
“If you have a CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera, please check them to see if you’ve caught anything on them.
“If you live in the area you’ll see an increased police presence over the next 24 hours with additional officers on patrol with support from the Safer Harlow Partnership.
“So if you have any concerns or information please don’t hesitate to speak to one of our officers.”
