Events to remember the fallen from Harlow

THREE events are planned this week as Harlow remembers the fallen from the two world wars and later conflicts.
Armistice Day on Thursday 11 November will see Harlow Council hold a small service outside the Civic Centre, which will include observing two minutes’ silence at 11am. Armistice Day marks the day the First World War ended.
On Sunday 14 November 2021, the annual Remembrance Sunday service organised by Harlow Royal British Legion will be held at the Netteswell Memorial Cross in Harlow Town Park. The service will start at 10.45am. School Lane will be closed to traffic between 10am and 12noon.
In the evening the Harlow Royal British Legion will be holding its Festival of Remembrance at the Playhouse from 7.30pm.
