AS PART of our Faith Matters series, we went to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Tracyes Road, Harlow.
We interviewed Tony Rowley.
Recently, Tony was ordained to the Diaconate of Brentwood Diocese by Rt Rev Alan Williams, Bishop of Brentwood.
We asked Tony about the role of a Deacon in the Catholic church and his faith path.
We also asked about the parish at Holy Cross and how it has grown and changed over the years.

Great to see his energy and enthusiasm. Christmas (and Advent) are all about the birth of Jesus Christ, God with us. Every one of us has done things which we know were wrong, a.k.a. sin. Jesus laid down his life for us by dying on the cross. This paid the penalty for our sins, and forgiveness and eternal life is available to everyone who turns away from their sins and decides to follow Jesus instead.
