THE Potter Street Wombles are very much a community-minded group and this was reinforced as they raised hundreds for St Clare Hospice with a special Christmas womble.

Last Saturday, they walked the length and breadth of Potter Street in festive costume and fund-raising buckets in order to raise spirits and cash.

YH understands that they raised over £300 for St Clare Hospice.
