Recycle your Christmas tree with St Clare Hospice

Charity / Mon 27th Dec 2021 at 11:45am

FOR the fourth year running, you can Recycle Your Christmas Tree with St Clare to help us raise vital funding!

On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of January 2022, we will be out and about in the local community, collecting Christmas trees for recycling.

This fantastic recycling programme is an eco-friendly way to dispose of your tree after the yuletide season, whilst also helping your local hospice charity.

Last January, our Christmas tree recycling programme raised over £14,500 for the Hospice, recycled over 960 trees, and reduced individual travel to dispose of trees at the peak of the pandemic. Help us make 2022 even bigger and better!

This year they will be collecting from the following postcode areas:

CB10, CB11, CM17, CM18, CM19, CM20, CM21, CM22, CM23, CM24, CM6 1, CM6 2, CM16, CM5, EN9

You can register your tree online through Just Helping, where you can also make a suggested donation of £12 to St Clare Hospice for the collection service. All donations are gratefully received and help to pay for our hospice services for local people who need us.

Sign up before 12 noon on Wednesday 5th January 2022, to have your tree collected on either Saturday 8th or Sunday 9th January 2022.

Please note that only real spruce, fir and pine trees can be collected and recycled.

Please ensure that your tree is easily accessible outside your property for our team to collect.

What an excellent initiative. It’s a win-win for so many. You get your tree disposed off environmentally, the Hospice receives a donation and the council’s resources are not stretched. Use the link to book online. Do it today whilst you’re eating more creative Turkey recipes.
