THERE were nine beautiful babies born at Princess Alexandra Hospital on Christmas Day.
It is one of the joys of journalism to ring around and speak to the parents about the bundles of joy delivered on a special day.
It is also so pleasing to hear their unstinting praise for the staff at the maternity unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH).
Included among the nine babies were twins.
Ware resident Kerry Perkins gave birth to a boy and a girl. Oliver weighed in at 6 1b and 4 oz whilst Bea was slightly lighter at 5 lb and 7oz.
They were born at 10.30 and 10.31 on Christmas Day.
Hoddesdon resident Gifty Ofori Adjei gave birth to the lovely Aseda. They were so thankful that Aseda is Ghanaian for “Thanksgiving”.

At just after 3am (3.11) on Christmas Day, Cheshunt resident Carly McKeown gave birth to Saoirse.
Saoirse weighed in at 8 lb and 9 oz.
Carly and her husband Ciaran would like to thank the staff at the maternity unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital fro all their help.
Harlow resident Justyna gave birth to the lovely Oskar at 00.49 hours on Christmas Day. Oskar weighed in at 3.2 kg.
As you can see from the photograph, his big sister Julia is delighted with the arrival of Oskar. What a special present on Christmas Day.

“They were so profession, so kind and so caring.”

Had all 5 of mine at pah and was always treated well and with respect, the midwives there are absolutely amazing 😍
Gorgeous babies ❤️
Agree with everyone, both our 2yr old and 4yr old were born at PAH Maternity and everyone there was so good, professional, fun and very helpful to both my wife and I-can’t thank them enough for all they do-should be so proud, makes PAH stand out from everywhere else! Special Thankyou to NICU for the week my 4yr old spent there with the highest jaundice they have ever seen, off the scale and even though we live walking distance, allowed is to have one of the rooms adjoining NICU!
I had my baby boy Was born 20/12/2021 The staff were amazing and I can’t thank them enough for looking after myself and my baby
