There has been one further deaths registered at PAH in Harlow.
The number of deaths is 612.
For the record, Covid-19 is the underlying cause of death in around 92% of deaths where it was mentioned in the death certificate.
There are a reported 76-patients in the hospital. That figure has been between five and 26 for months so this is a VERY sudden jump (Jan 7th).
With staff shortages, A and E pressures and residents experiencing difficulties getting appointments at their GP surgery, this is now a vital time.

Harlow had been fluctuating between 4 and 20 from April 5th to the middle of June but its path since September can be documented above.
Figures from other areas suggest a high number of cases amongst children.
For quite a while, the hospitalisation figure was low and it has remained at between ten and twenty. It is an important figure to keep an eye on.
We may also have to consider the number of people attending Accident and Emergency which appears to be averaging at 300 people a day.
This all compares with the dark day of January 9th 2021, when Harlow had 1327 cases but 204 in hospital and sat third out of 315 local authorities.

There was 26 the other day so why the sudden jump is this people coming in with covid or people catching covid whist being in hospital
Lets have some data on how many of these inpatients have not had a jab and whatever happened to the underlying health conditions that are not mentioned any more
how many of these people are in because of covid, or just in and happen to have covid? Given the large number of cases in the population, maybe its expected that people going in for other reasons also happen to have it.
jarrett, i think Boris said that 60% of hospital covid cases are unjabbed, 30% have had 1 or 2 jabs and 10% have had all 3 jabs
