I quite agree with Cllr Vince, but Matthew Goodwin, Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent, writing in today's Daily Mail thinks Boris may just hold on. The Mail's article, 'If shroud waver in chief Sir Keir was in charge, we'd have spent the last two years in lockdown', sets out the unappealing and restrictive nature of a Sir Keir Starmer premiership. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for reducing the workload of the NHS and taking sensible precautions, but the gamble by Boris that the vaccine booster campaign would outrun the spread of the Omicron variant appears to be paying off. It's such a same that Boris can't resist the temptation to lie his way out of a sticky situation.

Johnson will hang on as the alternative is a joke without any policies aided and abetted by his sidekick.

It looks precarious for Boris until you listen to Sir Kneel and his potty-mouthed sidekick.

Jarrett, when you say " the alternative is a joke without any policies aided and abetted by his sidekick" , are you referring to someone within the Conservative party? I ask because BJ's resignation would mean a change in PM, not a change in govt.

Interesting comments above, appearing to indicate a belief that Johnson's departure will immediately trigger a change of government. Alas, no .... but I love your optimism, guys. Just a matter of time now, though.

George, I do realise that BJ going will not result in a change of Government i mean Starmer and Rayner but it is all immaterial to me as i have given up with all of them.
