Appeal after cyclist struck by car near town centre

ESSEX Police are appealing for anyone who saw or has footage of a collision in Harlow where a cyclist was injured.A car and a bicycle were in collision in Haydens Road at around 7.55pm on Monday 17 January.

It was reported the car failed to stop at the scene.The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

We need anyone who saw what happened or has any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to come forward.If you have any information you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk or use the ‘Live Chat’ button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.

Nearly a fortnight since a tragedy was narrowly avoided. I hope the driver has had some time to reflect and will voluntarily co-operate with the authorities. This is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.
