A HARLOW resident has appeared in court charged with modern slavery offences.
Rafal Lacki, of Felmongers, Harlow appeared at Isleworth Crown Court along with Anna Zimoch, 44, of Harlesden, Sebastian Zimoch, 48, of Romford, Michal Lozinski, 52, of Hayes, and Gregaor Borowka, 44, of Harrow,
They have denied conspiring to arrange or facilitate travel with a view to exploitation and controlling prostitution for gain.
The court heard that over a six-year period between January 2015 and February 2021, the five had been involved in trafficking women from Poland to London to work in brothels.
The alleged operation had originally started between Sebastian Zimoch and Michael Lozinski, with Zimoch being the driver who would transport the women and had direct control over their whereabouts.
The court then heard that the two later decided to split their business, with Zimoch establishing a brothel with Borowka on Minerva Road, Harlesden.
Lozinski is reported to have then established a brothel within his own home in 59 Berwick Avenue, Hayes, where he would reside downstairs whilst sex work took place in the bedrooms.
The four men, including Lacki and Borowka, were responsible for the transportation of women around London and would negotiate payment with clients, the court heard.
