Hospital estates and facilities team nominated for local community award

THE estates and facilities team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) has been nominated for a Heart for Harlow Community Award.
The annual community awards focus on a culture of appreciation and organisations who make a real difference to everyday life in Harlow.
The team were nominated for their ongoing hard work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, to provide patients and staff with nutritious meals, maintain high standards of cleanliness, manage specialist medical equipment, transport patients around the hospital and undertake important and regular estates maintenance.
Packa Risi, associate director of estates and facilities, said: “We are thrilled to have been nominated for the ‘’Health and Wellbeing’ Heart for Harlow Award.
“Our teams, including the electrical and biomedical engineering (EMBE) department, porters, domestics, housekeepers, business improvement and sustainability support, transport, postal the estates department and caterers are committed to going the extra mile to enhance patient and staff experiences.
“The estates and facilities team play a vital role in the daily running of the hospital and it’s fantastic to see them recognised for their efforts – we look forward to the awards ceremony that will take place later this year.”
As a regular patient visitor over last year . They have done a tremendous job in keeping things clean and functioning well
