Harlow parkrun cancelled due to Storm Eunice

Athletics / Fri 18th Feb 2022 pm28 05:02pm

SATURDAY’S running of the Harlow parkrun has been cancelled as Storm Eunice takes its toll.

The course has been blocked by two fallen trees.

As you can see from the pictures, the tree that has fallen close to the start line in the town park is very big and although there may be a few steeplechasers in the running fraternity, it just isn’t safe.

Well done to the course director, Lee Webber an this team who tried their best to clear the course.

We hope that the run will recommence next Saturday at 9am.

It's the safest & wisest thing to do. 👏🏻 People's lives are more important than a 30 minute (+ or - ?) run around!! We all want to see our friends again next week, right?

Suppose it was impossible to have pulled them to one side and run around them a bit.
