Crime / Fri 25th Feb 2022 at 04:05pm

ON Sunday 13th February 2022, Adrian Jones of Tanys Dell, Harlow allegedly took £128 worth of items from ASDA in The Water Gardens, and left the store without attempting to pay.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft, and during a search, a pair of scissors was found in his back pocket.
He was also then arrested for possession of a bladed article.
Jones was on bail for possession of a bladed article in recent weeks, therefore the outcome of this incident resulted in Jones being remanded and charged with both theft from a shop and possession of a bladed article after appearing at court on Monday 14th February 2022.
This young man had the scissors to cut tags off not to stab someone! he was probably desperate and needs assistance not criminalising! Hes probably got nothing to his name and is in real desperate avenue! Lets talk more instead of throwing peoples lives away with such petty crimes! Try and call the Police when your home is being robbed or car has been stolen and see what the response is yet Asda food theft is just across the road from the police station so its an easy response!
I’m desperate too Tomcat but I don’t steal & carry scissors Pathetic wet defending excuse He’s a villain, should be locked up
This guy has committed this same offence numerous times before. He’s not stealing for anything other than greed.
How many pairs of scissors does a person need?
Essex Police have a chance on 15 March to copy the example of Nottinghamshire Police in tackling shoplifting and its associated violent crime. Nottinghamshire Police worked with the Co-op on Project Zeal that reduced shoplifting by profiling the most prolific offenders and dealing with the alcohol and drugs addiction, which is the key driver of shoplifting, by enabling early access to rehabilitation teams. Harlow Council's Scrutiny Committee will be presenting questions from the public to Essex Police on 15 March, including one on Project Zeal. The Co-op commissioned research from City University and their report 'It’s not part of the job’: Violence and verbal abuse towards shop workers' was published in September 2019 which led to Project Zeal in 2021. Let's see if Essex Police understand the meaning of "intelligence led policing" and the notation of being "tough on the causes of crime"?
Bobbo you see the mentality you carry smacks of a person that has no clue on dealing with issues within our society! im jus glad you are not a court judge as no one would be in with a chance of avoiding prison! sadly I guess its education you need but are a little past it now! You say you are desperate too well you have a computer to write comments on here now they are wealth so I leave you with a thought! If you have loose change in your pocket and fodd on the table you are ranked as one of the 8% richest people in the World! so Bobbo there are 92% of the Worlds population worse off than you! finally there are hairdressers just outside ASDA so if they break for lunch and pop yo get a sandwich does that mean they are violent people? No it doesnt so look further than you nose when making stupid comments without a thought!!
Tomcat. Would you be happy with £128 of goods stolen from your property.
Edward I have had my van broken into on 6 occaissions and not once did I get a response from Police other than a crime number! I suggest you get your facts right before commenting! I chased the Police yes chased the Police to come and view cctv yet no response! I have even spent hrs and hrs on the 101 number to no avail yet some take some items from ASDA the response is rapid! sorry mate the truth hurts!
Tomcat it is most possibly because your car didn’t have a security guard detaining the person for when Police got there. And who said the response was rapid. Haha for your van issues. Clearly deserve it.
Tomcat, the guy has had numerous chances in his life. He’s been in and out of prison all of his life. He’s aggressive and violent and threatening. He deserves everything that gets thrown at him.
Cut his bloody hands off. I think that the police only caught him because that's where they do their shopping
Is this the same Adrian jones who has served several sentences for stabbing people with blades?
