This is a confusing junction, cars turn round here to go to aldi's and the Bus filter can be confusing. A young lad got killed at the same spot a few yrs ago . Essex highways need to re think this juction layout.

Totally agree Bormond, the only way into aldis car park is either going right down to the roundabout to come back on yourself or turn out the junction, aldis should go down to where the cinema area is ect where 1) there is bigger parking area and 2) not so flipping dangerous and 3) bring in self service at the store to ease the long queues

This is not a difficult junction at all if drivers behaved properly and according to the highway code.

AB,if that was the case we wouldn't need seat belts. The junction IS dangerous, cars heading to Aldi will flash drivers turning into The Stow causing them to cross the bus lane, which gets used by motorcycles and cycles.

This is not a dangerous junction by any means, its the idiots that shop at aldi that use this as a quick turnaround, there's no need whatsoever to call this a dangerous junction, it needs cameras here to prosecute!!

There is NO right turn into Aldi. It is the idiots who do so that cause problems. There is no crossing of the bus lane as it finishes before the junction. Just read the road and drive with consideration to others.

This was caused by a car turning right into the back of the stow by the Essex Skipper from the Lady Fatima (east) direction. A car going west has left a gap to let him go across them into orchard croft. As per, a minicab has come flying through in the bus lane passing the stationary traffic in the middle lane going west. The Mercedes minicab cab has hit the the car turning in the nearside front hard. This is a common occurrence with Cyclist, Motorcyclist, and minicabs at that junction. Buses and Black Taxis are usually spotted easier by the driver turning by way of size. and by the driver of the same as they sit higher in their vehicles and see across the top of westbound traffic stationary in the middle lane. Didn't see anyone hurt as I went round them as no-one was in either vehicle. Hopefully no-one was hurt. ??

I do believe the “bus/Taxi lane” is what it says. It does not mention “mini cabs”.

The junction wasn't dangerous when the car sales business was there but the changes made make no sense and are illogical especially if a driver is unfamiliar with the area: cabs in the bus lane are running blind. There's actually no need for a bus Lane here.

replying to Me, Mini-cabs felt it was wrong for them not to be able to use bus lanes and was allowed to by the councils say so, i myself find this wrong as they are just a private car with drivers who can`t drive in them. They don`t know how to switch their lights on either

Not a poor junction, Idiots doing u turns because they are to lazy to approach the aldi store from the right direction. Some make a right turn next to the sign that says no right turn. I recently watched in amazement a drive turn right coming out of aldi so that they didn't have to go round the roundabout. I'm sure they all went to the I don't give a shit school of driving.

David. You talk rubbish. The bus lane is an independent lane for those that are licensed to use it I drive a black cab and first avenue is horrendous for us. When a car stops to turn right into burnt mill school the cars in the traffic lane think they have the right to pull into the bus lane without looking The same goes for the left turnings into momples road. Monkswick road and school lane. You can’t blame the drivers that legitimately and legally use these lanes. Blame the idiots who cross them without knowing the laws of the road.

I have a dashcam fitted to both my car and motorcycle if im fortunate to be in the right place at the right time of these idiots who make an illeagle right turn into aldi i will send footage straight to the police and the first they will know about it is when a summons hits the mat!!!

I live down that area, it's a nightmare, so many times I've pulled in behind a car doing a u turn that's left me in a dangerous position in front of all traffic. People don't seem to care about others anymore. Any driver knows if you got to cross over 2 lanes even if u have been given go head to turn you check the other lane at the same time. Also don't help all the idiots that park along that turning to go shops all on double yellow lines, literally a car length of turning. Left that smashed up car right on turning 2 yesterday

Taxi drivers using the bus lane seem to think they can ignore the normal rules and courtesies. I have witnessed them speeding up towards the first junction in first avenue narrowly missing cars who are turning right after normal traffic has stopped for them. Clearly same thing has happened on this occasion. It's not the junction's fault it's the driver's fault.

For a start, the junction is not dangerous, not difficult to go to roundabout and come back on yourself for a safe left into Aldi, there is no need to right turn illegally into Aldi! Black cab driver, not all but most are so dangerous, they race around Harlow trying to get to station for another fare, in my opinion a taxi should only use bus lanes if a paying fare, not to use as a quick route, it should be for buses only, a vehicle that carries many people in one vehicle, a cab is no different to any other car with just 1 person in that can’t be bothered with buses! Lazy, Pikey idiots that use Aldi are the problem and should not be on the road! I see the same problem with cars coming from railway station roundabout to A414 holding up traffic trying to turn right to climbing wall, even thought it’s a clear sign saying no right turn, lazy gits need to go to roundabout and back for a safe left turn-it takes a couple of mins
