STEWARDS Academy’s Year 10 photography students accompanied by Miss Martin, Mr Ford and Miss Spowart embarked on a trip to London City Centre with the goal to explore the different sites that the city had to offer-documenting their journey through photographs.
Arriving at the Tower of London on a surprisingly bright, but cold day, the group explored the grounds of the Tower and began the journey through London. The pupils explored popular locations, many of which they had not visited before; they approached these new sites with eagerness and wonder, enthusiastically clicking away capturing the dynamic surroundings.
Borough Market was unanimously the favourite location of the day. When arriving at the market the pupils were immediately hit with a wave of sounds and smells, enticing them to explore. They used this opportunity perfectly to discover all that was on offer, from the vibrant fresh produce, mountains of cheese, seas of fish and of course the location itself. Many types on food were available to try and most of the pupils took the opportunity to do so, with several trying something new that they would not have normally eaten.
Jade Spowart, trip leader, said: “All who went on the trip thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pupils captured fantastic photographs that documented London as well as their day and had the opportunity to investigate a city that is right their doorstep. We look forward to doing it again next year.”
