Netball: Practice makes (nearly) perfect for St Mark’s

ST MARK’S West Essex Catholic School’s Year 8 Netball team continued their outstanding season with an exciting draw against a tough Passmores Academy side.
The match ended 14-14 and was testament to both sides in very tricky conditions.
The standard of play is also a tribute to the amount of practice a side like St Marks puts in.
The dedicated PE staff at the Tripton Road school put the girls through their paces on a Monday after-school training session.
They then have their matches on a Wednesday.
Many of the girls play for local clubs such as Tegate and so train on a Thursday as well as have matches on a Saturday.
Finally, on a Friday, the teams, spread across from Year 7 to Year 11, have a lunchtime shooting clinic.
As they say, the more you practice, the luckier you get.
