Harlow driver pleads guilty to careless driving after hitting two children on crossing

A DRIVER has pleaded guilty to hitting two children on a pedestrian crossing in Harlow.

Mark Rowlands, aged 40, of Harefield, Harlow pled to the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.

On July 6th, 2021, at Howard Way, Harlow, drove a Mercedes A140 without due care and attention.

The court heard that Rowlands drove the Mercedes on Howard Way without due care and attention in that he failed to sufficiently slow at a pedestrian crossing and failed to be aware of crossing pedestrians and struck two children causing minor injuries.

He was issued with five penalty points and fined £190.00
