PARINGDON Pirates Walking Football Club has started weekly Women’s Walking Football sessions. The sessions take place every Monday 5 – 6pm at Paringdon Sports Centre. No experience is needed to take part in this great non-contact sport, just turn up and play.
Walking Football is a great way to get fit and have fun. Paringdon Pirates Walking Football club was founded in 2017 and provides a friendly walking football experience on a safe, floodlit 3G surface for people to enjoy.
The club was delighted when approached by Harlow Resident Cheryl Walsh to ask about setting up Women’s Walking Football sessions in Harlow. Cheryl and her friends had been travelling to Leyton to take part in walking football and wanted a venue closer to home to play.
Cheryl Walsh said ‘I am really happy that Women’s Walking Football is now available in Harlow. It is good for all standards and fitness levels. It is non contact and really good fun’.
The club currently have 2 teams (Over 60 & Over 65) competing in the Essex Walking Football League and runs mixed sessions on Mondays (15:30), Wednesday (10:30) and Fridays (10:30). New players are always welcome.
