ON Saturday 16th April, Herts & Essex Community Farm will be hosting their annual Easter event at the Fold Croft site from 12-2pm, where children can join in with a traditional Easter Egg hunt with every person going away with an egg. It is £2.50 per person to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt with free entry for all adults and any children not participating in the hunt.

There will be lots of fun and games on offer for children with seasonal arts and crafts and traditional games including hook a duck. In the farm kitchen hot drinks, homemade cakes and warming soup will be served all for donations, and there will also be a sausage sizzle supplied by local business,
Churchgate Sausage Shop in the BBQ area with vegan/vegetarian sausages available too. Children are encouraged to come in fancy dress with prizes for the best costumes.
Event organiser Munaza Ali says “We are excited for the return of our popular Easter Egg Hunt with so much on offer to keep everyone entertained throughout the afternoon”
There will be signs directing guests to the tucked away site from Hobtoe Road and limited car parking spaces available at the neighbouring Judo club, though guests are encouraged to arrive on foot, the site being a short 10 minute walk from Harlow town centre.
Herts & Essex Community Farm has wheelchair access including accessible toilet facilities. The site is completely open air so guests are reminded to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather, as the site can get very muddy over the winter months.
About Herts & Essex Community Farm
Herts & Essex Community Farm is a local, not-for-profit community growing project which started in 2013, based on an ex-allotment site in Fold Croft, Harlow, CM20 1SE. The project grows organic vegetables, fruits and herbs for volunteers and the local community to access free of charge or for donation. The farm supports the educational growth of all volunteers and visitors to the farm by teaching organic growing methods, sharing skills and knowledge, and working with local schools, organisations and individuals providing hands-on experience. The project is entirely volunteer led and reliant on funding from events and individual donations.
