PARNDON Wood Crematorium is set to re-open after Easter.

A spokesperson said: “We are pleased to confirm that the refurbishment of the chapel at Parndon Wood Cemetery and Crematorium, following a fire in February, is nearing the completion and the chapel will be fully re-opening for services on Wednesday 20th April 2022.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our families back to the chapel. The refurbishment includes an installation of new furniture, curtains, carpets and window blinds as well as full redecoration of the interior. We hope that the refurbished chapel will provide additional comfort to the bereaved families and a peaceful place where they can mourn, remember and celebrate their loved ones.

We appreciate everyone’s patience over the last few weeks whilst we have been using temporary chapel and look forward to the re-opening of our main chapel doors again on the 20th April.
