Harlow woman escapes jail after “targeted and sustained assault” on child outside school

A HARLOW woman has pleaded guilty to a vicious assault on a child in Harlow.
Jade Wigley, aged 20, of Brockles Mead, Harlow pleaded guilty at Chelmsford magistrates court to the following.
On February 21st, 2022 at Harlow assaulted a girl by beating her.
Wigley was committed to detention for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months.
The court gave the following reasons:
This was a targeted and sustained assault on 12 year old victim. Assault took place outside a school with many children present. Injuries caused physical and psychological effect on victim.
Sentence suspended due to a realistic prospect of rehabilitation and the effect on defendants small dependent children.
The defendant must comply with the following requirements within the supervision period of 12 months:
Rehabilitation Activity Requirement: Unpaid Work Requirement: Carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next twelve months.
Wigley must also comply with a restraining order in force until April 24th, 2023.
She was also fined £330.00

Wow just shocking. That taught that woman what??? Nothing!!! She targeted a 12 year old . Poor young girl has to live with the phycological affects for a long time. No justice atall.

As much as I feel for her children and the fact they’d be left without a mother if she went to prison it still should of happened! Not forgetting her kids were In the car when she attacked the girl so they saw it all, what a “mother” a! She drove to the school with the full intention to beat up a child. And at no point did she think better of her disgusting behaviour the only reason it stopped is because a passerby stepped in. The fact the girl is a year 7 as well! Not like she’s school leaver age (obviously still not acceptable) but then people like Jade probably couldn’t beat up a 16 year old as she’s just a bully who has to go for young children.

Disgusting.. She should have gone to prison for this. The fact she beat up a 12 year old is disgusting, with her kids in the car too. Also her mum taking her there to do it is disgusting. I bet nothing happened to her mum. The system is all wrong. She will not learn from community service. This will all be forgotten soon and she will get on with her life. Her mum will get on with her life. That poor girl will have mental scars. The poor girls mum will be mentally scared. Wrong.. So so wrong.

Wow wow wow why has she been given such a ridiculous punishment!! If that had been an older girl she beat it would be GBH.. so doing it to a child surely must be 100 times worse & she lay her hands on her, she should have got a prison sentence & a Long one at that. Dread to think what she does to her own children they must be petrified of her behind close doors!!?? 120 hours unpaid work within 12 months, 20 minutes a day wow that's really going to bother her NOT,! Who the hell was this judge! cardboard cutout ! what is it coming to. Parents teachers all of us were made to understand that the law stated NO CHILD was to be smacked etc at lone beaten by another child's mother. DISGUSTING UNBELIEVABLE BEHAVIOUR & the punishment, again no control from the law so another scum of the earth got away with not even a slap on the wrist. The young person who was on the end of this is the one who has been given & has to live with the punishment for the rest of their life. Maybe that judge is the wrong job & needs to retire

Shocking behaviour isn`t it. Violence appears to be the first resort these days amongst those who can`t deal with any perceived insult or criticism. I hate to think what occurs in that household when the doors shut. The young girl and her family must be traumatised and also angry that this woman basically got away with her violent and disgusting actions. What a coward and depraved person she is.
