Hundreds raise thousands for charity in Race For Life in Harlow

Athletics / Mon 9th May 2022 am31 08:30am

HUNDREDS of Harlow residents raised thousands of pounds for charity as they took part in the Race For Life on Sunday morning.

Under blue skies, at Harlow Town Park, the runners, resplendent in pink, undertook the 5k and the 10k challenge.

Collectively they have raised over £25,000.

YH filmed the runners as they set off and caught some as they crossed the town park.

Before the race began, we spoke to Sarah-Jane Marshall of Fitness-With-SJ. Sarah-Jane and her group who have raised over £6,000 for charity.

Sarah-Jane was given a Civic Award last year for her commitment to supporting people over lockdown.

Details of her classes can be found here https://www.facebook.com/ClubbercisewithSJ/

We would also like to say well done Marianne Bye, who not only raised £120.00 but set a personal best time.

A special well done to Milly, who competed the race for her Auntie Nic, who is currently battling cancer.
