THERE were emotional scenes at the Harlow Playhouse on Thursday night, as members of Razed Roof received awards and their chair’s retirement was marked.

The Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Rosemary Padfield presented several Jack Petchey awards to members of the theatre group.

There was then a final presentation to Tony Edwards who is stepping down as chair of trustees.

The award winners celebrated magnificently.

Mr Edwards made an emotional speech praising Razed Roof, the Harlow Playhouse as he pointed out how far we have come.
