Platinum Jubilee: The Queen has been spotted in Old Harlow

Communities / Tue 17th May 2022 at 03:03pm

HER Majesty has been seen in Old Harlow, and local residents are being asked to help spot her.

Old Harlow Traders Association are running a competition to spot all fifteen numbered photos of Her Majesty hidden somewhere in and around Old Harlow.

Phil Barrow of Daniel Robinson & Sons said “the traders association’s main purpose is to fundraise all year round to pay for the Old Town Christmas Lights. We think the idea of having a fun competition for all the family to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee, whilst raising funds, go together quite well”.

Her Majesty is known for her many outfits and bright colours. All the photos are different and reflect this.

Pastor Tony Mayes of the Baptist Church and Christine Smith of The Flower Box have been running the group for many years. Tony said, “what a great idea, not only to raise funds, but something the whole community can take part in to celebrate this special platinum year”.

The competition starts on Monday 23rd May and will run until Wednesday 8th June. Entry forms are available from The Flower Box & Daniel Robinson & Sons. The first three correct entries drawn at random will win a prize.

“Hunt her majesty” is probably not the best choice of words here...
