Wecan Digital Centre opens in the Harvey Centre

Charity / Fri 3rd Jun 2022 at 06:45am

A WHOLE host of ways that digital technology can help people thrive in their own homes were on display at the launch of the WeCan Digital centre in Harlow.

Based on the upper floor of the Harvey Centre in Harlow, the centre is part of a partnership between a whole host of organisations including Rainbow Services in Harlow.

We spoke to Clive Emmett from Uttlesford CVS to find out more about the technology.

Regretably computers are atill not as reliable as cars. You still have to do illogical things to cure their tantrums , like re starting.

It's great to see what IT can do to help people in need. In some cases is this can be the difference between a person staying in their home or needing to move to a care base home.

Please note that under this scheme, free computer training is being offered every Thursday between 2pm and 4pm in the local offices of the charity Mind based in the Bush Fair shopping centre. Please bring your laptop or tablet with you. Or just pop along to find out about the training offered.
