RESIDENTS of Morningtons enjoyed a special Platinum Jubilee street party on Sunday.
After applying to Harlow Council for a full road closure, neighbours enjoyed live music, fresh cream scones and games such as pin the tail on the Corgi and a TV quiz.
The highlight was the over 50s egg and spoon race which became very competitive.
Children were presented with mugs specially printed for the Platinum Jubilee with the Morningtons street name.
Two households shared the prize for best dressed house, one of which included the Queen sitting on a garden bench.
The event was organised by neighbours Julie Bull and Vanda Mason who would like to publicly thank Sarah Swan and her team at Harlow Council who provided barriers and road closure signs and were very helpful and supportive in their application.
Thank you Vanda and Julie for your hard work. Partygoers had a thorough enjoyable afternoon . The event was a runaway success
What a wonderful day had by all. A massive thank you to Vanda and Julie for the amazing day they gave us. So much hard work and entertainment went into a very memorable day. I woke up with a headache on Monday , but hay it was so worth it. Thank you again.
