Essex Police Statement

We have arrested a man following a six vehicle collision in Harlow.

It happened in Southern Way at around 6.05pm today, Tuesday 28 June.

No one is believed to have been seriously injured.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and failing to provide a sample. He remains in custody at this time.

The road remains closed whilst we carry out an investigation, and we will open it as soon as possible. 

We need anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to us to get in touch.

1800 hrs: YH understands that there has been a road traffic collision on Southern Way in Harlow.

It appears to have taken place near to the Latton Bush Centre roundabout.

There appears to be at least two vehicles involved.

The emergency services are in attendance.

The road is blocked both ways.
