The former Passmores Academy played his part in a thrilling final.
Head coach Ian Foster praised England’s “togetherness” after they came from behind to beat Israel and win the European Under-19 Championship.
Oscar Gloch put Israel ahead before Callum Doyle equalised to force extra time in the final in Slovakia.
On a famous night for the Young Lions, Aston Villa’s Carney Chukwuemeka chested England ahead and club-mate Aaron Ramsey sealed victory.
“It’s probably the most together that I’ve seen a group,” said Foster.

Ronnie Edwards (Peterborough United)
An imposing centre-back, Edwards has grabbed people’s attention during these championships, starting three of the four games to date. Peterborough have already rejected a bid from a Premier League side this summer, with a number of clubs reported to be interested. The 19-year-old was a regular for Posh last season in the Championship as the team were relegated. He has been playing senior football since 2020-21 and looks at ease at this level.
Well done Ronnie ⚽️🏆👋
