AS part of Harlow’s 75th anniversary celebrations litter picking groups have been popping up all over the town this summer.
Most recently, it was the turn of children from Newhall Primary School who were out litter picking across the neighbourhood to raise funds for the Friends of Newhall Primary School.

Thanks to support from Harlow Council and Stiles Harold Williams Partnership the litter picking squad raised £200 and collected a surprising amount of litter!

“Litter picking after school in the sunshine with a hi vis vest and a litter picker is something children just love to do. It’s a really popular event and we had a great time. The funds raised will help to buy a class set of litter pickers for the school so we can run events more regularly” Kelly Matthews, Friends of Newhall Primary School.
Newhall Primary School is currently working towards its Eco-School green flag.
