ON Friday 1st July 2022, St Clare Hospice held its second annual Summer Party at Redchurch Brewery in Harlow.
The party was a ‘sizzler’ with 135 party-goers attending and organiser’s estimating that more than £3,500 has been raised for the Hastingwood-based Hospice charity.
The event saw attendees enjoying Redchurch Brewery’s collection of draught and bottled beers, and Stort Valley Spirit’s refreshing gin. There was also street-food from the Slow Dough Pizza Co and Smoke BBQ Kitchen and entertainment including live music from local band, the Muggabees, as well as beer pong, a raffle and other games.
Tony Porter, Commercial Director of Redchurch Brewery, said: “I know the good work that the Hospice does, but also how expensive it is to run. So we came up with the idea of the hosting the St Clare Summer Party at our brewery in Harlow, as a way to support a great local charity in a different way than just writing a cheque. It’s been a good way to get other independent small businesses to work together, for the greater good, generating income for a charity.”
Event organiser, Charlotte Durham, Corporate Events Fundraiser, said: “The Summer Party is my favourite event in the St Clare calendar and Friday’s party definitely delivered on fun and fundraising! The weather was fantastic, with party-goers relaxing in the evening sunshine, and our hosts at Redchurch Brewery really created a great atmosphere, with drinks flowing and brilliant live music from Lauren of the Muggabees to top it off. We raised over £3,500 which is an incredible amount to fund hospice care for families in our local community. Thank you to everyone who helped run the event, and to all those who attended. We hope you had a great time!”
The Summer Party event took place at Redchurch Brewery 15-16 Mead Park Industrial Estate, Harlow, CM20 2SE on Friday 1stJuly 2022 from 1700hrs – 2200hrs.
