THERE was heartache for Harlow’s Jo Harten as England failed to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

England lost their Bronze medal match by 55-48 to world champions, New Zealand.

Harten had struggled with injury throughout the tournament with a leg injury.

But she came on towards the end of the match to use all her guile and experience to try and bridge the gap between the Roses and the Ferns.

Alas, it was not to be.
