HARLOW Town’s first game of the season may be postponed.

Their opponents, Aylesbury United FC put the following message on their website on Wednesday night

“We’d like to advise supporters of the possibility that Saturday’s match against Harlow Town may be postponed.

This is due to delays with the home club laying a new artificial pitch at the Harlow Arena. The Southern League has informed us they will carry out an inspection on Friday afternoon (12 August), and we’ll bring you the outcome of that as soon as we’re practically able to do so.

The weather on Saturday afternoon in Harlow is forecast to be 35 degrees, which may also present a separate issue with staging the match on an artificial pitch.

“Please continue to check our social media channels if you’re planning to travel to the game, and we’ll try to bring you any update as soon as we’re able”.
