Man in custody over series of public order offences in town centre

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses to a number of incidents which took place in the Broad Walk area of Harlow on Friday.
It was reported that a man was in the area and was using insulting and abusive language towards passers-by.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. He remains in custody.
A number of witnesses have already been in touch to give their accounts, but they are appealing for others to come forward and speak to us.
The incidents were reported in the Broad Walk area between 3pm and 7pm yesterday.
Police need anyone who witnessed an incident or any suspicious behaviour in the Broad Walk area between 3pm and 7pm yesterday, Friday 12 August, to get in touch as soon as possible.
