This is excellent news as we had hoped they were going to move into the Harvey centre near the new cinema 5 years ago, pleased to welcome them to Harlow

Who in Harlow can afford these prices? In this economy, especially. I suppose at least the councillors next door will have another chain to choose from for their expensed lunches.

Miller and Carter was heaving in June, and the car park was very busy when I passed it at 6pm today, so I don't get that people can't afford to pay £15 a head for a wholesome bowl of noodle a soup and a drink in vibrant surroundings. Last week I introduced my 10 year old to Wagamama... It was perfect, but we waited 30 mins for his icecream and had to leave, as had a hospital appointment. They gave us a £15 hopitality card, saying your next couple of icecreams are on us! This was the Holborn Branch. Its consistently great the world over, a real bonus for Harlow!

I do not agree with A above. Clearly plenty of people will be able to afford to frequent this and other similar places. These companies undertake thorough market research before opening. Harlow has such a limited gastronomic offering for a town of this size. Much smaller neighbouring towns have far more variety and more independents, e.g. Stortford, Epping and Hertford. I along with many people I know from Harlow frequent these places as there is virtually nowhere decent here. A big factor is that commercial rents here are comparatively high. As part of the much needed Town Centre regeneration we desperately need significantly improved gastronomic and entertainment offering and rent levels to also attract quality independents.

Great to see Harlow! Keep the upgrades coming! Harlow needs more high end pubs, bars, restaurants and independent coffee shops along with the new open cinema, live music venue and market coming back to market square. Regeneration is what this town needs! Well done
