THE GARDEN of India celebrated thirty years in business.
Loyal customers, friends and family gathered on Wednesday night at the Bush Fair restaurant.
Even TV celebrity, Big Narstie came to celebrate with his friend.
The restaurant was launched by Jamil Uddin, in 1992 as part of an empire that now includes several other restaurants.
Jamil has blazed a trail in enterprise and business in Harlow but he as also inspired many other restauranteurs, to start their own business.
But the face of the Garden of India is Mo. Mo has made it his own and it is so much more than just a restaurant.
That is why so many flocked to be at the celebrations.
People recognised that quality of the food Mo produces but also his friendly and warm manner.
We have also not forgotten the work Mo did during the pandemic. Staying open, feeding the needy and helping others.
Mo is a larger than life character but a lot of the time, this type of publicity has to be dragged out of him.
After a hard working week, people love to pop into the Garden Of India, for a meal or to pick up a take away.
