ST NICHOLAS’ school in Old Harlow won the Futsal competiton for primary schools across Harlow.

Sixteen teams took part in the events at Mark Hall Academy Sports Centre.

The teams were separated into a morning and afternoon session; with eight teams organised into two groups.

All teams were able to play a non-scoring warm-up to ensure they understood the adapted rules before commencing the group stages.

The standard throughout was very good, with teams relying less on power and physicality and more on passing and movement.

Some excellent goals were scored and many more prevented through excellent defensive and goal keeping.
